Allan Stratton Automotive Repairs are a Queensland Government Approved Inspection Station

  • We offer SAME DAY Roadworthy Certificates (Safety Certificates) and Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspections at our Southport location for all make and model of vehicle.

In Queensland, a Roadworthy Certificate is needed when a registered light vehicle is offered for sale, or when re-registering an unregistered vehicle. This confirms that a vehicle has passed a minimum safety standard inspection. The inspection covers the basics for the safe operation of the vehicle such as; tyres, brakes, steering, suspension, body rust or damage, windscreen and lights.
  • Selling Your Car
The Roadworthy Certificate must be displayed in an obvious area of your vehicle when selling it. For a car, this in generally on the windscreen or window. Our Roadworthy Certificates are valid for 2 months or 2,000km (which ever comes first) from the date of issue.
  • Buying a Car
If you are buying a used vehicle, it is important to know that a Roadworthy Certificate is not a comprehensive mechanical inspection. At Allan Stratton Automotive Repairs we can provide you a full comprehensive mechanical inspection to ensure the car you a buying will be reliable and keep you safe on the road.
  • Unregistered Vehicles
