Meet the Allan Stratton Automotive Team

Glenn and Nicky Watson

Owners
Glenn Watson has always had a passion for motor cars. He started as a small child helping his father fix his trucks on weekends and all he wanted to do is become a mechanic. Glenn started his Mechanical Apprenticeship in the late 70's in the central QLD Coal fields. Glenn felt in his 4th year that he needed to learn more so he transferred his apprenticeship to Zupps in Brisbane. Glenn has worked in most makes of vehicles to expand his knowledge.
He took the Role of RACQ depot Manager in Townsville in the late 80's and spent the next 16 years running one of the largest areas for RACQ breakdown service. Glenn was very passionate about this role helping to get motorist back on the road as quickly as possible. Glenn took on the role as Team manager for Geoff Pickering Racing in 1998 who competed in the Australia Off Road Racing Championship In Class 7 Series Production 4WD in a Mitsubishi Pajero.

His role was to design and Build the Race Cars and the Race Car Navigator, to their credit they won the Australian Championship 8 years in a row before Glenn retired from Racing to spend more time with his family.
Glenn has also been involved in the Tyre & Wheel industry, and also worked with restoring Australian and American Muscle Cars, there is nothing that Glenn doesn't love about cars and 4WDrives. Glenn and his wife Nicky moved to the Gold Coast for a sea change and he was looking to purchase a workshop that had great customer service. They looked at many and found that ASA was what he was looking for and purchased the business in October 2017. Glenn brings commitment and honesty to ASA and the Motoring public in the Gold Coast Area.
